My Quest to become a Navy SEAL!

So I am sure that we all have those wants and dreams that we want to make a difference, to do something worth remembering.Well, mine is to become a United States Navy SEAL.

Yea jumping out of planes, rolling in mud and enduring some of the most painful circumstances imaginable is a bit of a deviation from my current track of going to NYU with plans to follow that immediately with medical school. Other than certain financial complications that have made my college experience a bit...out of reach, this--becoming a SEAL-- is something that was going to happen, it was just a question of 'when'?

Why do I want to become a Navy SEAL? For the same reasons I want to become a doctor, to help people. In both cases I have the great pleasure to help those that cannot help themselves and make a difference in the everyday lives for everyday people. In the United States those that I wish to serve are those that are plagued with ignorance and misinformation, not unlike those I was raised with in the streets of West Oakland, California. Although these people are unfortunate and impoverished, even with all of the outside influence that the people of West Oakland receive, they still have the ability to be their own saviors whereas those in the middle east ( where I would most likely be spending the majority of my time as a SEAL) do not. A certain TIME's article and front cover of said magazine of provided a face against the evil's in afghanistan. The crimes perpetrated against women, simply because they are women, are both disgusting and inexcusable by any stretch of anyone's imagination. The woman on the cover of the aforementioned time magazine cover had her ears cut off along with her nose, for running away from her terribly abusive husband.
Now, I could sit here and remark on how terrible this is and rant about how "something needs to be done" but unless I decide to up and do something, I am happily accepting that this is the work for others, that it is something that others can put their lives on the line to do something about, which is unacceptable.
To prepare for the rigors of BUD/S ( and get myself into perfect shape for my current profession of modeling ) I will implement a series of rules I have made my self live by.

1. Not eating until I get in a good morning workout that includes at least an hours worth of cardio.
2. Walk as many places I can in NYC while the weather still permits it.
3. Not eating carbs extensively and none after 8pm.
4. Not eating anything after 10pm.
5. Stop smoking cigarettes and Marijuana.
6. Eat only "whole foods".
7. Drink at little as possible.
8. Attain the "mental toughness" that is all but required for success at BUD/S.

Lets make a difference everyone. If I die doing what it is that I want to do, then atleast I know I died with a purpose, I died for something I believed in--something only a handful of people can actually relate to and have the ability to do. After my six-year commitment, I will continue my journey on the track I am currently on.

Hoo-YAH!!!

THe idiocracy of papa johns pizza

SO... My roommate Phil and I have gotten papa johns for the last four days in a row now, good for us, of course not; tasty, you bet your ass. However today we made the awful discovery that the pizza that had some how intertwined with our live for the greater part of a week, was not made by an operating functional unit of society but rather a defective system of checks and balances that were made--seemingly--in vain.
